Sevenoaks district's three public swimming pools all charge £7.69 for an adult. When family swims run, which has an inflatable, and Tonbridge's family ticket.

The public swimming pool in Sevenoaks is at Sevenoaks Leisure Centre on Buckhurst Lane. Everyone Active runs it, and also runs the district’s two other public pools, at Edenbridge and at White Oak in Swanley. All three charge the same price: £7.69 for an adult swim and £5.01 for a junior. So the choice between them comes down to the timetable, not the cost.

That is the part most pool listings skip. The three centres run very different weeks. Sevenoaks holds its family swims in the small teaching pool. White Oak uses its main pool for them. Edenbridge is the only one of the three with a public inflatable session.

This page compares all three from Everyone Active’s own published timetables, checked on 10 October 2026. It adds Tonbridge Swimming Pool, the nearest pool run by someone else and the only one nearby with a family ticket. It also covers the Sennocke Centre pool at Sevenoaks School.

The quick answer

For a family swim on a Saturday, Sevenoaks Leisure Centre has the most sessions, every hour from 11am to 4pm on a Saturday, but in the teaching pool. For lane swimming before work, all three Everyone Active pools open lanes at 6.30am or earlier on weekdays, and White Oak starts at 6am. For an inflatable, go to Edenbridge on a Saturday at 3pm. For a family of four on a budget, Tonbridge’s family ticket is £21.10 with its Priority Card, against £25.40 for two adults and two children at any of the Everyone Active pools.

Prices are per swim. Everyone Active’s junior and adult prices are the same at all three of its centres. Tonbridge counts under-16s as concessions, so its concession price is the one a child pays.

Sevenoaks Leisure Centre

The town’s pool is on Buckhurst Lane. It has a 25-metre, six-lane main pool and a smaller teaching pool (Everyone Active, Sevenoaks Leisure Centre). When we checked on 6 October, the building opened from 6.30am to 10pm on weekdays and 7am to 8pm at weekends. Sencio, the old operator, went into liquidation in 2023, so ignore any listing that still uses its name.

Its published week, from the centre’s swimming timetable, runs like this:

  • Lane swimming every day, split into slow, medium and fast lanes. Weekday lanes start at 6.30am, and on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings they run until 10pm.
  • Family swimming in the teaching pool, 27 one-hour slots a week. On Saturdays they run every hour from 11am to 4pm. On Sundays there is one at 9am, then more from 11.30am to 4pm.
  • Public swimming in the main pool, nine sessions a week, including 4pm and 5pm on a Saturday.
  • Under-5s fun swimming on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 11am.
  • Senior swimming for over-50s, four weekday morning sessions.
  • Inclusive quiet adult swimming, a quieter session without lanes, on Monday at 11.30am and Tuesday at 3pm.

The catch for families is the pool size. Family swims at Sevenoaks are in the teaching pool, capped at 20 places a session, according to Everyone Active’s booking data. For children who want to swim lengths with a parent, the Saturday 4pm and 5pm public swims in the main pool are the better choice.

Parking: the council’s Sevenoaks Town multi-storey shares the centre’s TN13 1LW postcode. Our Sevenoaks parking guide has its charges. The centre itself has four accessible bays.

Edenbridge Leisure Centre

Edenbridge has the same pair of pools as Sevenoaks: a 25-metre, six-lane main pool and a teaching pool (Everyone Active, Edenbridge Leisure Centre). On paper it has the busiest family week of the three, with 32 family swim slots and 21 public swims (Edenbridge swimming timetable).

It also has the two sessions the others do not:

  • Family swimming with an inflatable in the main pool, on Saturdays from 3pm to 4pm. It costs £9.55 a person, adults included. It is for children over five, and everyone on the inflatable must wear a buoyancy jacket.
  • Disability swimming, four sessions a week, at £5.21 for an adult and £5.01 for a junior. Everyone Active describes it as a session for disabled people and those with long-term health conditions.

Weekend lane swimming is thin here, though. On Saturdays and Sundays the lanes finish by lunchtime.

White Oak Leisure Centre, Swanley

White Oak’s 25-metre, six-lane main pool has a movable floor, and there is a separate learner pool with a viewing area (Everyone Active, White Oak Leisure Centre). It also has a spa, with a sauna, steam room, infrared sauna and cold plunge pools.

What the timetable shows (White Oak swimming timetable):

  • Lane swimming from 6am on weekdays, the earliest start of the three.
  • Family swimming in the main pool, not the learner pool, with up to 50 places a session. Weekend family swims run on Saturday from 2pm to 5pm and Sunday from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
  • Sensory swimming in the learner pool every weekday at noon, and again on Friday at 6pm. Everyone Active describes it as a calm session with coloured lighting and music.
  • Inclusive family swimming on Sunday at 4.30pm.

One price difference: White Oak’s timetable shows no lower concession price for public and lane swims. Sevenoaks and Edenbridge list £3.87.

Tonbridge Swimming Pool

Tonbridge is outside the district, in Tonbridge and Malling, and tmactive runs it rather than Everyone Active. It is worth knowing about for two reasons.

The first is its heated outdoor pool, which tmactive says is open throughout the autumn and winter (tmactive, Tonbridge swimming timetables). The second is a family ticket, which none of the Everyone Active pools sells.

Its prices, in force since 1 January 2026:

  • Adult swim: £10.20, or £7.70 with a Swim Priority Card
  • Concession: £8.00, or £6.20 with a Priority Card
  • Under-3s: £1.40
  • Family Fun Swim, for two adults and two children or one adult and three children: £29.70, or £21.10 with a Priority Card

Concessions cover under-16s, people of State Pension Age, full-time students aged 16 and over, and registered disabled people. Every session lasts 90 minutes. Spectators at the outdoor pool pay the same as a swimmer. Booking opens at 11am for Saturday and 10am for Sunday, and tmactive advises booking ahead at weekends. The page does not say what the Priority Card itself costs.

What a family swim costs

Bar chart of what one swim costs two adults and two children: Tonbridge Family Fun Swim £21.10 with a Priority Card, Sevenoaks, Edenbridge or White Oak family swim £25.40, Tonbridge Family Fun Swim £29.70 without a card, and the Edenbridge inflatable session £38.20

Everyone Active has no family ticket, so two adults and two juniors pay four separate prices. That comes to £25.40 at Sevenoaks, Edenbridge or White Oak. The Edenbridge inflatable session costs £9.55 each, or £38.20 for four.

At Tonbridge the same family pays £29.70 as casual users. With a Priority Card it is £21.10, the cheapest of the lot, but the card’s own cost is not published on that page.

Under-5s pricing at the Everyone Active pools is not published. The timetable says infant prices vary by centre and are shown when you book. Children under eight must be supervised in the water by someone aged 18 or over, with no more than two children to each adult.

Swimming lessons

All three Everyone Active centres teach the same course, from adult-and-child classes for 19 to 36 months up to adult lessons. Lessons cost £43.75 a month by Direct Debit, based on a 50-week course, plus a joining fee, according to the Sevenoaks timetable. Pre-school stage 1 takes children from three; stage 1 is for children of four and over.

Two other options:

  • Half-term crash courses. Sevenoaks and White Oak both list Stage 1 crash courses starting on 26 October, at £7.50 a day. A course normally runs for four or five days.
  • The Sennocke Centre, at Sevenoaks School on the High Street, runs its own swim school in its 25-metre indoor pool. Term-time group lessons start at Level 1 from age four, on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday after school and Saturday mornings (Sennocke Centre, swim school). It also runs an October half-term crash course, booked by enquiry.

The Sennocke Centre also sells memberships covering the pool, gym and classes. Its prices are not published on its website; the membership options are shown through its members portal (Sennocke Centre, memberships). Ring 01732 467750 to ask. Parking is in the school’s Duke’s Meadow car park off the A225 Tonbridge Road (Sennocke Centre, getting here).

If the pool is a wet-weather plan, our rainy day guide lists what else is indoors and open, and the leisure centre’s soft play is in the same building.
