The pantomimes near Sevenoaks are unusually settled this year, because almost every theatre within reach announced its 2026/27 show a full twelve months out. The home fixture is Robin Hood at the Stag, running 11 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 (The Stag Sevenoaks), and beyond it there are five more within an hour. As of this September check, all six have published their dates and their prices: Tunbridge Wells was the last to hold anything back and has now put up every performance and every band.

One thing worth knowing before you book: three of the six are Cinderella. If you have seen Cinderella twice in the last three years and cannot face a third, the shows to look at are Sevenoaks, Bromley and Canterbury.

Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells reach their lowest figures on family, relaxed and child tickets rather than adult seats, so the gap on a like-for-like adult ticket is wider than the bars suggest.

The Stag, Sevenoaks: Robin Hood

The Sevenoaks panto is the one you can walk to, and it is a proper production rather than a token seasonal filler. The Sevenoaks Panto team return with Robin Hood, joined by Silly Billy and Dame Elaine Staige, running from 11 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 in the Stag’s auditorium, with a running time of 150 minutes (The Stag Sevenoaks).

Performances are spread thickly across the run, from 11am morning shows through to 7pm evenings, which matters if you are working around a nap or a school day. Tickets are listed from £16 up to £42.50 depending on seat and performance, with booking through the Stag box office on 01732 450175 (See Kent; booking).

The adults only nights

Easy to miss, and the reason a lot of Sevenoaks people go twice. The Stag runs separate adults only performances of Robin Hood on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December at 8pm, Sunday 27 December at 7pm and Saturday 2 January at 8pm (The Stag Sevenoaks).

What it means for you: these are not the family show with a later start, they are a different edit. Do not book one by accident for a seven year old, and do not assume the 8pm slot on a Saturday is the normal panto.

EM Forster Theatre, Tonbridge: Cinderella

Twenty minutes down the road at Tonbridge School, the EM Forster Theatre stages Cinderella from 11 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, 47 performances over three weeks and Wicked Productions’ eleventh year here. Tom Swift puts on the dress for the first time, alongside Rhys Whiteside as the other stepsister, Amanda Swift returning as the wicked stepmother and Georgia Fawcett back for a second year as Cinderella. It runs about 2 hours 30 minutes including an interval, and the relaxed performance is at 6pm on Wednesday 16 December (EM Forster Theatre; See Kent).

It is also the clearest pricing of any theatre here: adults £30 to £32, children under 16 £27 to £29, family and relaxed performances £23, and schools £16 (See Kent). Book through the theatre’s own site (EM Forster Theatre).

What it means for you: the child price is barely below the adult price, so a family of four is well over £100 whichever seats you pick. The £23 relaxed and family performances are the value option here, not a fallback.

Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells: Cinderella

The Assembly Hall’s Cinderella runs 12 to 31 December 2026, 35 performances, produced by Little Wolf Entertainment and billed with two dames rather than the usual one. It is a shorter run than most because it closes on new year’s eve rather than playing into January (Assembly Hall Theatre).

Prices are banded by date, and the spread is wide. On the cheapest Blue and Green performances, band B seats are £30 for adults and £20 for children, band A £33 and £23. Gold performances, the ones nearest Christmas, run to £46 for an adult and £39 for a child in band A. Schools pay £14 with one free ticket in every ten, groups of 8 to 14 save 10 per cent, 15 to 49 save 20 per cent and 50 or more save 30 per cent, though group and early bird rates are not available on Gold dates (Assembly Hall Theatre).

The per-performance start price is the more useful number, and it splits the run in half. Fourteen of the 35 shows start at £20: the six daytime performances from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 December, which is 10am each day plus 1.45pm on the Tuesday and Wednesday, the 7pm on Thursday 17th, the 5pm shows on Saturday 12, Sunday 13, Saturday 26, Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 December, and both performances on Wednesday 30 December. The dearest are £35.50, at 1pm on Wednesday 23 December and both Christmas Eve shows. There is no performance at all on Friday 18 December, and none on Christmas Day.

The signed performance is at 1pm on Wednesday 30 December, with a BSL interpreter at the right of the stage, and the relaxed performance is at 5pm the same day, with reduced volume, brighter house lights and no pyrotechnics (Assembly Hall Theatre).

What it means for you: 30 December is the date to look at first. It is the only day carrying both the signed and the relaxed performance, and both of them are £20 shows, so the calmest seats in the run are also the cheapest. Running time is still listed as approximate, around 2 hours 15 to 45 minutes, babes in arms need their own ticket, and wheelchair and other access bookings go through the ticket sales team on 01892 554441, Monday to Saturday, noon to 6pm.

Orchard Theatre, Dartford: Cinderella

The biggest name on any nearby bill. Joe Pasquale stars in Cinderella at the Orchard from 12 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, with Keith Jack as Prince Charming, Ben Goffe as Buttons, Gareth Mitchell and Garnon Davies as the stepsisters and Vanessa Dumatey as the Fairy Godmother, produced by Imagine Theatre (Imagine Theatre).

Tickets start at £21.50 and top out at £47 across the 38 performances, and the Orchard is unusually open about where the cheap seats hide: the opening weekend of Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December and the closing weekend of Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 January are the best value dates in the run (Orchard Theatre; Imagine Theatre).

Accessible performances are a relaxed show on Thursday 17 December at 10am, a chilled show on Saturday 19 December at 11am, an audio described show at 1pm on Monday 28 December and a BSL signed show at 5pm the same day (Imagine Theatre).

One warning that applies here more than anywhere: adult panto parodies play the same stages in the same weeks. The Orchard’s own listings put The Adult Panto: Puss and Dick on Thursday 7 January 2027, four days after Cinderella closes (Orchard Theatre). Check the date and the age guidance on whatever you are booking, because a one night spoof and the family show can look near identical in a listing.

Churchill Theatre, Bromley: Sleeping Beauty

Bromley opens earliest, on 5 December 2026, and runs to 3 January 2027, with Vernon Kay playing Billy in Imagine Theatre’s Sleeping Beauty. It runs about 125 minutes including a 20 minute interval and is suitable for ages three and up. There is no junior ensemble in this production, unlike most years (Imagine Theatre).

The box office lists three starting prices rather than one: £28 at the quietest performances, £35 across most of the run and £37 at the busiest (Churchill Theatre). The producer names the best value dates as the opening weekend of Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December and the closing weekend of 2 and 3 January (Imagine Theatre).

Bromley has the fullest access schedule of the six. The signed performance is Wednesday 9 December at 7pm, audio described is Friday 11 December at 5.30pm, there are relaxed shows on Saturday 12 December at 11am and Tuesday 15 December at 1.30pm, a chilled show on Saturday 12 December at 11am, and a captioned performance on Thursday 17 December at 5.30pm (Imagine Theatre).

What it means for you: the early December start is the trick worth using. The £28 performances are at the far ends of the run, so a first week show costs meaningfully less than the same seat the week before Christmas, and every accessible performance here falls inside that cheaper first fortnight.

Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury: Peter Pan

The longest run and the most ambitious production. The All New Adventures of Peter Pan plays the Marlowe from Friday 27 November 2026 to Sunday 10 January 2027, written and directed by Paul Hendy, who won Best Script at the 2024 Pantomime Awards. The cast has grown since the show was announced: Janette Manrara of Strictly Come Dancing and the three time Olivier winner David Bedella now join Phil Gallagher of Mister Maker, Ben Roddy, who won Best Dame at the same 2024 awards, Anna-Jane Casey, Sario Solomon and Millie Spiker (Marlowe Theatre).

It runs 2 hours 30 minutes, with tickets from £19 to £84 depending on seat and date, and audio described, BSL, captioned, chilled and relaxed performances across the run. Two discounts are easy to miss: Discovery tickets are £15 for 16 to 26 year olds on selected performances, and school tickets start at £14 but have to be booked by phone or in person (Marlowe Theatre).

What it means for you: Canterbury is an hour from Sevenoaks and the £19 seats exist, so this is not automatically the expensive option despite the reputation. It is the one to pick if you want the biggest production of the six and do not mind the drive. If anyone in the party is blind or partially sighted, the Marlowe runs a free touch tour of the set, props and costumes before each audio described performance, on Sunday 6 December and Sunday 3 January, booked through the box office.

How to book well

Prices at every theatre on this page rise as December goes on, so the cheapest good seats are in the first week of the run or the days after new year, not the week before Christmas. Two theatres now say so themselves: Dartford names 12 and 13 December and 2 and 3 January as its best value dates, Bromley names 5 and 6 December and the same new year weekend, and Tunbridge Wells prices the same pattern into its own listings, where a 5pm show on 30 December starts at £20 and a 1pm on 23 December starts at £35.50.

Every venue except the Stag publishes relaxed, chilled, signed or audio described dates in advance, and those performances are often among the cheapest tickets in the run as well as the calmest: all six of Bromley’s fall in the first fortnight, and both of Tunbridge Wells’s are on a £20 day. And if you want the Stag’s adults only nights, book them early, because there are only four in a three week run.
