Sevenoaks Town won 2-0 at Steyning for a third straight win and sit 7th. Rugby beat Maidenhead 68-12, the women won 92-0, and both 1st XVs play Saturday.

The win takes them to seventh in the Isthmian South East Division, on 12 points from eight games. Steyning are 13th on nine points.

Sevenoaks RFC also made a winning start. The 1st XV beat Maidenhead 68-12 at Knole Paddock in their league opener. (Sevenoaks RFC, Post-Match Reaction, 27 September 2026)

Football: nine points in eight days

Sevenoaks took three points from their first five league games. They have taken nine from the three since:

  • Saturday 19 September: Margate (h), won 2-1
  • Wednesday 23 September: Eastbourne Town (h), won 5-0
  • Saturday 26 September: Steyning Town (a), won 2-0

Steyning was also the Oaks’ third clean sheet of the league season.

Rugby: 68-12 in the league opener

The 1st XV’s league season started late this year, after an extended pre-season. Olly Green led the side in his first game as captain. The club has posted highlights and post-match interviews with Director of Rugby Adam Bowman, Green and fly-half Ben Adams. (Sevenoaks RFC, Match Highlights, 27 September 2026)

On Saturday the 1st XV travel to Wimbledon RFC in Barham Road, SW20, for a 3pm kick-off. (Sevenoaks RFC, fixture: Wimbledon away)

Women’s 1st XV: 92-0, and the captain stays

The Senior Women’s 1st XV opened their season with a 92-0 win. The club says it came on the captain’s birthday. (Sevenoaks RFC, Andi Returns as Senior Women’s 1st XV Captain, 28 September 2026)

Andina Morris-Brown will captain the side for a second season. She took over from Emma Bowman last year.

Head coach Grant Scandling said: “She leads by example on the pitch and, most importantly, genuinely cares about every player in the squad.”

Morris-Brown thanked her predecessor. She said Bowman “played such a huge part in building this squad from the ground up”.
