Sevenoaks District Council is running free Family Fun Days for under-12s at 20 villages and parks from 27 July to 21 August 2026, with arts, crafts, sport and free bike marking by Kent Police at several sites. No booking needed.
Sevenoaks District Council’s free Family Fun Days are back for the summer holidays, with 20 sessions running at parks and recreation grounds across the district from Monday 27 July to Friday 21 August 2026. They are aimed at children aged 12 and under and offer arts, crafts, competitions and sport, with free bike marking by Kent Police at several venues. (Sevenoaks District Council, Family Fun Days are back!)
There is no need to book. The sessions are drop-in, and children must be supervised by a parent or guardian throughout. Most run from 10.30am to 1.30pm, with two exceptions noted below. (Sevenoaks District Council, Family Fun Days are back!)
Cllr Lesley Dyball, the council’s Cabinet Member for People and Places, said: “Family Fun Days are always such a great way to entertain the kids over the summer holidays, and best of all they are completely free!” (Sevenoaks District Council, Family Fun Days are back!)

What it means for you
The Family Fun Days are one of the cheapest ways to fill a morning during the six-week break, and because they move around the district there is a good chance one lands near you. A few things worth knowing before you go:
- They are weather-dependent. Sessions can be cancelled or changed at short notice if the weather turns, so the council advises checking its website and Facebook page before you set off.
- No booking, but bring a grown-up. Turn up on the day; children aged 12 and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian the whole time.
- Bring bikes to the marked sites. At the eight venues offering it, Kent Police will security-mark bikes for free, which can help recover a bike if it is stolen.
Full details, including exact addresses and any updates, are on the council’s page at sevenoaks.gov.uk/familyfundays.
