74 companies took Sevenoaks addresses in August, from a padel venture to railway contractors; 20 share one Sundridge office. Who is new, and the trend.
Seventy-four new companies were incorporated with Sevenoaks-area registered offices in August 2026, according to Companies House records we pulled on 2 September. That is up from 70 in July, and in line with a steady run of 70 to 82 a month since the spring. (Companies House, advanced company search)
Two health warnings before the names. A registered office is a mailing address, not proof that a business trades there: 20 of August’s 74, more than a quarter, give the same address, at 108 to 112 Main Road in Sundridge, which is the classic footprint of an accountancy or company-formation service registering clients’ firms at its own office. And our search covers addresses containing “Sevenoaks”, so it captures the town and its TN13 to TN15 villages but will miss firms registered under Swanley, Edenbridge or Westerham addresses.
Names that stand out
What each company plans to do is taken from the trade classification (SIC code) it registered, not from any announcement:
- School Padel Ltd, Holmesdale Road, Sevenoaks: registered under primary education, secondary education and sports and recreation education. Padel is having a district moment; Westerham Town Council confirmed two public courts for King George’s Field in August. (Companies House, 17418418)
- The Great Christmas Feast Ltd, High Street, Seal: registered under performing arts, which suggests an event rather than a turkey supplier. (Companies House, 17390875)
- Ichiro’s BBQ Limited, Sevenoaks: registered under food manufacture and the manufacture of non-electric domestic appliances. (Companies House, 17375211)
- Action Rail Southeast Ltd, Sevenoaks: registered under construction of railways and underground railways. (Companies House, 17411971)
- The Calm Travel Edit C.I.C., Sevenoaks: one of two new community interest companies, registered under publishing, social research and travel agency activities. The other is The Green Room Project C.I.C. (Companies House, 17398854)
The trades are well represented too. August brought Paddy’s Pipes Plumbing & Drainage (plumbing and heating), Wildflower Gardening Services (landscaping), G.R. Regan Roofing and Solar, LK Roofing Group, Apex Tail Lifts (vehicle maintenance and repair) and REL Home Care Services, registered under specialised cleaning. Alongside them came the usual crop of property vehicles, holding companies and consultancies that make up much of any month’s register. (Companies House, advanced company search)
What it means for you
A Companies House incorporation is a legal birth certificate, not a shop opening its doors. Plenty of these firms will never have a premises, and some will never trade at all. The register’s value runs the other way: before you hand a deposit to a new builder, roofer or landscaper, look the company up and check it exists, who its directors are, and whether it has filed what it should.
Incorporations are also only half the ledger. Our August insolvency roundup covers the district firms that entered liquidation or faced winding-up petitions in the same month. For established local firms by trade and town, see the business directory.
