Forty companies were registered at Sevenoaks district addresses between 6 and 18 October, from the Companies House register. A registration is not an opening: the list, and the firms in liquidation or facing petitions.

Forty new companies were registered with Sevenoaks addresses between 6 and 18 October, Companies House records show. Five of them are food and drink businesses, including restaurant companies in Kemsing and Otford. (Companies House, advanced company search)

The Gazette, the official public record, carried one new liquidation of a Sevenoaks business in the same fortnight. Two more district companies face winding-up petitions.

This is our fortnightly New in business round-up. Our last edition covered 22 September to 5 October.

The new names

These are the ones with a recognisable local trade behind the name, with the business type each gave Companies House. We give the town or village, not the full address, where the registered office may be a home.

A company name and a registered office do not prove a business is trading yet, or where it will trade.

Bar chart of the 40 new companies registered with Sevenoaks addresses from 6 to 18 October 2026 by main business type: retail and wholesale 9, consultancy 6, tech, media and advertising 6, construction trades 5, food and drink 5, holding and finance 3, property 3, other 3

By the first business code each company gave, retail and wholesale was the biggest group with nine. Consultancy and tech, media and advertising had six each. Construction trades and food and drink had five each, and holding companies, property and other activities three each.

Ten of the 40 are registered at 108-112 Main Road, Sundridge. That address is a company formation and accountancy service, so it says nothing about where those firms trade. Two more are registered in Borough Green and Wrotham Heath. Those villages use the Sevenoaks post town but sit in Tonbridge and Malling.

The search catches any registered office containing “Sevenoaks”. It misses firms registered in Swanley, Edenbridge and Westerham that leave “Sevenoaks” out of the address.

Liquidations

One older liquidation is reaching its end:

  • Moulded Plastic Components Ltd, whose trading address was 4 Winterton Court, Market Square, Westerham, has been in liquidation since November 2023. The liquidators, FTS Recovery, plan a first and final dividend to unsecured creditors. Claims must be in by 10 November. (The Gazette, notice of intended dividends, 6 October 2026)

A creditors’ meeting was also called for 19 October for Versatile Equipment Limited, whose trading address is on the Hornet Business Estate, Quarry Hill Road, Borough Green. (The Gazette, meetings of creditors, 9 October 2026) Borough Green is in Tonbridge and Malling.

Winding-up petitions

Two district companies face new petitions in the High Court. A petition is a request to the court, not a decision. A company can pay, dispute the debt, or have the petition dismissed.

Company Petitioner Presented Hearing
S&O Builders Ltd, Westerham HM Revenue and Customs 4 September 28 October
Balanced View Limited, Bethel Road, Sevenoaks Kingsway Asset Finance Limited 1 October 18 November

Earlier petitions: no order yet

Four petitions from our earlier round-ups have now passed their hearing dates. No winding-up order for any of them had appeared in the Gazette by 19 October:

  • Sevenoaks Animal Feeds Limited, listed for 7 October. Companies House still shows it as active. (Companies House, company 01163945)
  • Smart Squad Ltd, listed for 14 October, also still active. (Companies House, company 11333366)
  • Sevenoak Investigations Limited, listed for 23 September
  • Knockholt Properties Limited, listed for 9 September

What the terms mean

A creditors’ voluntary liquidation is the closure of a company that cannot pay its debts. A members’ voluntary liquidation is the orderly closure of a solvent one. A notice of intended dividend means the liquidator has money to pay out and is setting a last date for claims. We report company insolvencies from the register only. We do not report personal insolvencies or publish home addresses.
