Kent Police want witnesses to a crash near Six Bells Lane on 7 September that left an 18-year-old motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries. Ref 07-1662.

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old motorcyclist was left with life-threatening injuries in a crash on Sevenoaks High Street. (Kent Police, Witnesses sought to Sevenoaks collision, 14 September 2026)

The collision happened at around 9.18pm on Monday 7 September, near the junction with Six Bells Lane. It involved a black Sur-Ron electric motorcycle.

The rider was taken to a London hospital. A week on, the force says he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The appeal was published on Monday 14 September.

Who the police want to hear from

Investigating officers set out two specific requests:

  • anyone travelling in the area between 9pm and 9.20pm that Monday who may have seen the motorcycle in the moments before the collision
  • anyone with doorbell, dash cam or CCTV footage that may have captured the vehicle, before or after the crash, who has not yet spoken to officers

What it means for residents

The stretch in question is the southern end of the High Street, where Six Bells Lane drops down beside St Nicholas church. Homes and businesses along there, and on the surrounding lanes, are exactly where a doorbell camera could have caught the motorcycle passing.

Footage from either side of 9.18pm is useful to the investigation, not just the collision itself. If your camera keeps a rolling archive, it is worth checking the evening of Monday 7 September before it is overwritten.

The police statement does not name the rider, and it does not say any arrest has been made.
